Cablegate: Human Trafficking

EPISODE 15 Recorded August 23rd 2011 An Australian and a Californian discuss Wikileaks for your infotainment. In this episode we addressed the cable #03HANOI2323 which was about the USG's concern with the amount of human and narcotics trafficking making its way from Vietnam to the United States. Vietnam wanted help to stop the trafficking of humans, but denied that there was a narcotics trafficking problem. It was interesting to see the USG concerned with human trafficking here when it went hand in hand with narcotics trafficking, and with both finding their way to the USA and causing problems there, and yet in cable #09NAPLES69 which we examined in episode 2 of Meaningless Words, the USG had absolutely no problem with putting an ambassador in charge of negotiating on their behalf in Italy, even though said ambassador was known for trafficking humans prior to this.... http://www.mediafire.com/file/1g48rd3d91llqlh/Meaningless%20Words%20Episode%2015%2C%20recorded%20August%2023rd%202011.mp3
